Second Place: Dark Chocolate Caramel Calzoni

Where Italy meets India (and Vietnam). Each bite of these rich calzoni revealed a surprising and exotic fusion of cardamom, coriander, nutmeg, and Saigon cinnamon within a warm, gooey, dark chocolate-caramel center. Creator Vanessa Abadia chose Scharffen Berger 62 percent cacao.

Third Place: Grapefruit Madeleines with Rosemary Infused Chocolate Drizzle

An adventurous twist on a French classic. Creator Aimee Stout’s innovative and delectable blend of unexpected flavor combinations make these madeleines come alive. Each revealed the subtle tang of grapefruit and then the adventure of a light rosemary-infused drizzle of Scharffen Berger’s 62 percent cacao, balanced with a satisfyingly savory sea-salt finish.

Honorable Mention: Chocolate Ginger Delight

The tastiest, most original pub drink ever. Creator Karen Ariele Imm infused Guinness stout with the sweetness of condensed milk, the zing of ground ginger and a delectable ounce of Scharffen Berger 62 percent cacao in this sinfully good, groundbreaking beverage.
