for generations by Aborigines who gathered it from Acacia trees.
Show us something we've never seen before—or create a surprising new twist on the familiar. Like Scharffen Berger's artisan chocolate, this contest reflects the wonderful spirit of culinary innovation. And TuttiFoodie's love of surprising ingredients deepens the intrigue.

THE BASICS
We're inviting recipes in three categories: Sweet, Savory and Beverage. You can create a recipe for one, two, or all three of the categories.
Each recipe must call for Scharffen Berger chocolate—containing anywhere from 41% to 99% cacao—and at least one adventure ingredient (see sidebar). For this year's contest, we selected diverse and captivating ingredients to stimulate the imagination.
You can melt, blend, swirl, frappé, roast, toast, sauté—do whatever inspires you. We’ll be judging your creations based on creativity, taste, ease of preparation and whether the recipe reflects a spirit of adventure. See the Official Contest Rules for details.
PRIZES
FIRST PLACE
We're awarding 3 first-place prizes. One first-place prize will be awarded in each category (Sweet. Savory. Beverage). Winners receive: $5,000, a mention in Saveur magazine, signed copies of Demolition Desserts by Elizabeth Falkner, Pure Dessert by Alice Medrich, The Essence of Chocolate by John Scharffenberger and Robert Steinberg, as well as a custom selection of Scharffen Berger® chocolates and a winner’s medal. The recipes will be featured on TuttiFoodie.com, on chocolateadventurecontest.com and in the Scharffen Berger e-newsletter.
SECOND PLACE
